À̼±ÀÚ
ÀÌ¿µ¼÷/Àå¼øº¹/Á¶ÀÎÁ¦.
Abstract
This study was carried out by collecting data through the questionnaire filled out by health educators during AIDS education conducted in Red Cross Branch Offices nationwide. The purpose of the study was to find out the level of knowledge,
attitude,
preventive behavior of health educators regarding AIDS.
Respondents were well aware of the risk groups of AIDS, but were confused with the transmission modes such as food or public toilet. There was a significant correlation between AIDS knowledge and education level and abortion experience. The high
level
of negative attitude to avoid HIV positive people and to separate them from the society was noted. The attitude to protect the human rights such as the confidentiality of HIV status and to consider AIDS just as one of the diseases were very low.
There
was no difference in the level of attitude according to general characteristics except education level, which was quite different from the other study. (Jang Soon Bok, 1994) In conclusion, health educators had a high level of AIDS knowledge while
their
attitude toward AIDS were negative and dualistic and were very active in the preventive efforts.
